Peter Lee (MBA, P.Eng, MAusIMM, MAICD), Executive Chair

In January 2026, Mr. Peter Lee was appointed Executive Chair of Alara Resources Limited, providing strategic leadership and governance oversight across the Company’s Australian and Omani operations.

Mr. Lee is a seasoned mining and metallurgical executive with more than 24 years of senior leadership experience across Australia and Canada. He has held executive roles encompassing corporate governance, strategy, capital markets, and operations within ASX-listed companies, most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer of ChemX Materials Limited (ASX: CMX).

He brings deep experience across the full mining and processing value chain, from pit to port, with broad multi-commodity exposure including iron ore, copper, gold, silver, lead, zinc, bauxite and alumina, manganese, and rare earth elements.

As Chair and trusted liaison between Australian and Omani stakeholders, Mr. Lee is recognised for his unwavering commitment to safety, operational discipline, ESG leadership, and prudent capital stewardship. He works closely with the Board, investors, regulators, and local communities to build enduring stakeholder relationships, uphold robust ASX governance standards and disciplined financial management, and support responsible resource development, sustained performance, and long-term shareholder value creation.
